1. Purpose
This notice provides safety and health information for Philadelphia Is Love immersive and spatial experiences, including Digital Avira accessed through supported hardware and third-party platforms such as Sansar. It supplements the Digital Experience Terms and Community Standards. It is not medical advice and not an emergency service.
2. Not an Emergency Service
Digital Avira and Philadelphia Is Love immersive support channels are not emergency services. They cannot dispatch police, fire, medical personnel, or crisis intervention. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, contact 911 (or your local emergency number) directly. Do not rely on in-experience voice, chat, or website forms for urgent life-threatening situations.
3. VR and Immersive Hardware
Immersive experiences may require virtual reality headsets, motion controllers, spatial audio, or related peripherals. Before use:
- Read and follow manufacturer instructions, age ratings, and health warnings for your hardware.
- Ensure your play area is clear of obstacles, pets, children, windows, stairs, furniture edges, and fragile objects.
- Use the headset tether, guardian/boundary system, or equivalent safety features where available.
- Start with short sessions if you are new to VR or returning after a break.
- Stop immediately if you feel dizzy, nauseated, eye strain, headache, disorientation, or discomfort.
4. Motion Sickness and Simulator Sickness
Some users experience motion sickness, vertigo, or disorientation in immersive environments. Reduce intensity where settings allow; take breaks; sit down if needed; and discontinue use if symptoms persist. Consult a qualified healthcare provider if you have questions about whether immersive media is appropriate for you.
5. Physical Safety
Immersive experiences can obscure your real-world surroundings. Do not use VR while driving, operating machinery, cooking, walking in public, or performing any task requiring full attention. Secure loose cables. Supervise minors according to hardware manufacturer guidance and Youth/Guardian requirements.
6. Photosensitive and Medical Conditions
Some experiences may include flashing lights, rapid motion, loud sound, or intense visual effects. If you have epilepsy, photosensitive conditions, heart conditions, balance disorders, pregnancy concerns, or other medical conditions that may be affected by immersive media, consult a qualified healthcare provider before use. Stop immediately if you experience symptoms.
7. Hearing and Vision
Use volume at safe levels. Take regular breaks to reduce eye strain and hearing fatigue. Corrective lenses or prescription lens inserts may be required for some users. Follow headset fit guidance to avoid pressure injuries.
8. Psychological Comfort
Immersive environments may feel intense, social, or emotionally evocative. You may leave at any time. Use mute, block, personal space, and reporting tools where available. If an experience causes distress, discontinue use and seek appropriate support through real-world resources.
9. Third-Party Platforms and Devices
Philadelphia Is Love does not manufacture VR hardware or operate entire third-party platforms. Hardware performance, firmware, account security, and platform safety features are controlled in part by device manufacturers and platform operators. Their terms and safety documentation also apply.
10. Assumption of Ordinary Immersive Risks
To the extent permitted by applicable law, you acknowledge that immersive media involves reasonably foreseeable risks such as tripping, collision with objects, simulator sickness, eye strain, and disorientation when hardware is used contrary to manufacturer guidance or without adequate physical space. This notice is not a waiver of liability that cannot legally be waived.
11. Updates
Safety disclosures may be updated as hardware, platforms, and production workflows evolve. Material changes will be reflected in version labels and, where required, renewed acceptance flows.
